BACKGROUND
The fraud lands at 9:02AM.
The realisation? 24 hours later.
3.2 million Americans fall victim to this every year.
THE ISSUE
Why does this keep happening despite all the solution in place to stop it?
WHAT WE LEARNED
Banks can block unauthorised fraud. They cannot see the moment someone is manipulated into authorising it themselves.

The Fraud Cycle
01
Young adults (age 18-28) are the most digitally active and highly targeted group, yet heavily underserved by existing tools.
02
The fraud victim journey map reveals that banks are often the first point of contact, where scripted processes can deepen isolation and shame.
03
Support organizations like CFPB, AARP, and ITRC offer guidance but remain disconnected from institutional fraud response systems.

OUR FOCUS
How might we close the gap between where fraud happens and where financial institutions can act?

PROTOTYPE

KEEPING IT SIMPLE
Fraud Prevention SaaS model for financial institutions to:
Assess user vulnerability,
Nudge safer decisions,
Detect suspicious digital content, and
Support users with an SOS flow during fraud events.
BEFORE | ASSESS
So.... How Leakable are you?
A personality test but for your digital habits. The leakability score reflects the probability of a user falling for financial fraud based on their habits and behavioral patterns.
Based on the Score and its breakdown, the used is suggested a learning module.

DUIRNG | NUDGE | DETECT
AI-Powered Fraud Detector
A conversational real-time fraud analysis tool that provides a risk rating for suspicious messages, emails or other offers.
-
Flags and rates potential fraud signals based on available data.
-
Does not provide legal or financial advice.

AFTER | SUPPORT
SOS Mode
A structured guide for the most overwhelming moments, turning panic into a clear action plan.
It supports users after a risky decision or active fraud event has already begun. It adds a recovery pathway, strengthens trust, and expands the product from prevention into ongoing support, which also creates room for growth through an additional acquisation layer.

THEORY OF CHANGE
If we intervene in the gap between fraud stimulus and user response, then users make safer decisions in the moment fraud finds them, because awareness and just-in-time guidance prevents loss more cheaply than post-fact recovery *.
